The life in Japan before was not that easy and people were not given a choice but to live their life in a day to day basis with very little and limited resources in their household. Because of poverty, even these things are repeatedly broken; they just end up fixing it over and over until they were beyond repair.

This tradition has been passed on from generation to generation unchanged. Examples of these sophisticated artworks are flower vases, scrolls, tea bowls, iron kettles, incense burners, and even musical instruments.
Japanese antiques are being admired, fascinated, collected and studied as they can be one of the link to Japan’s rich culture and engaging history. Two characteristic of a Japanese antique is its flawlessly beautiful and impeccably maintained craftsmanship. In addition to that, the antiques are also made by focusing much attention to intricate details. These are the few reasons why Japanese antiques are being envied in the market today.
Most archaeologists believe that the earliest Japanese culture can be traced back as far as 100,000 years. A glimpse into the history of Japanese antiques will further explain to us why they are so valuable. Many Japanese bronze and iron tools are from the Yayoi Period. This is the period where Japan’s agricultural development started. Yomon period came next, where the Japanese art of ningyo originated. Ningyo are the traditional Japanese dolls. These dolls could mean or represent different image for them. I t can be their children, heroes, gods, demons, or even fairytale characters. These dolls, are still available in the market nowadays sold by some reputable antique collectors. Another popular antique from Japan are their swords. The two swords that were sent as present to the queen of China, Queen Himeko are the two most famous swords on record in Japan. Eventually, many more iron swords were then imported from China to Japan.
Today, the perplexing craftsmanship involved in making these crafts like the dolls, swords and any other Japanese antiques is the reason why these things are so valuable and much coveted to be added to anyone’s collection.
